Why we built it:

Whilst building a site for a golf club chain the golf professionals all had LinkedIn resumes. The owners wanted to incorporate the CV’s into the website and build a CV portfolio of all employees within the organisation.

There are a few LinkedIn plugins for hooking a single CV from the LinkedIn API however none that could do multiple users.

How it Works :

The LinkedIn WP Plugin built by : Arnaud Lejosne worked for a single CV unfortunately it was also limited to what content was scraped.

By re-engineering the plugin we were able to scrape more (all) info from LinkedIn and by calling a segment within the page URL it now works for multiple CV’s.

Also incorporated functionality upgraded and tested to WordPress Version 3 Beta.

Job Done in a tenth of the time in starting from a clean page.

To Install :-

• Download It
• Place it in your plugin directory then activate.
• Add [oldskoolresume] short code on the page/s where you want your cv/s to appear.
• Once you have created your page/s change the final segment in the URL (i.e. slug) to the LinkedIn users name. (i.e. http://your-url/new-dawn/user-name). You may add as many LinkedIn CV’s as you wish.
• Note : by default, the language will be your WordPress language but you can specify one by adding the attribute “lang” if you have a multilingual profile to choose which one you want to display example : [oldskoolresume lang="fr"] will display the french version of your resume.
• The available Languages are listed in the enclosed language folder.
